Back to the Roots: Regenerative Agriculture

Hello FoodHack Netherlands community,

I hope you've been enjoying a relaxing summer break. We've missed you! It's been a while since our last meetup, and I'm excited to invite you to our upcoming event, which promises to be both informative and enjoyable.

๐ŸŒฟ Event Details: Back to the Roots - Regenerative Agriculture ๐ŸŒฟ

When you think about modern farming, you might envision large-scale industrial practices that aren't exactly planet-friendly. But fear not, our next event will introduce you to an alternative approach that's gaining momentum - Regenerative Agriculture.

Regenerative Agriculture is all about sustainable farming practices that help the environment while producing safe and nutritious food. It focuses on capturing carbon, revitalizing soil health, restoring water cycles, and nurturing biodiversity. It is a breath of fresh air for the future of food production.

These days Regenerative Agriculture is thought of as one of the solutions that can help us feed a growing population without asking for more from our planet. In current conditions, by 2030, 600 million people worldwide will face hunger. The solution to this crisis is of course much more complex but Regenerative Agriculture is a promising piece of the puzzle. Because of that and the growing interest from big actors in the sector, the global agtech industry is projected to go from its current worth of 21.89 billion to over 40 billion by 2030.

One of the challenges faced by Regenerative Agriculture is convincing all important actors (farmers, investors, consumers etcโ€ฆ) to take the step towards rethinking the way we have been growing our food for a more complex but long-term solution that leaves neither our planet nor our food safety behind. FoodHack meetups are all about this: learnings and rich discussions around promising solutions for our future food system.

If you're curious to learn more about this fascinating topic or have experiences to share as a startup, investor, or farmer, this event is perfect for you and you can sign up here.
