Making the case for sustainable supply chains in the F&B industry
Dear FoodHack community,
While many of you might be enjoying some well deserved break, we are active organizing the next FoodHack meet-up in Amsterdam. Did not sign up yet? Click here, there are still seats left!
For those that follow us on LinkedIn, you might have already seen some sneak peek on the speakers’ line-up, but we’re very excited to share all the details!
Making the case for a sustainable supply chain in the F&B industry 🚚💚

Our speakers, tapping on their different background, will provide unique point of views on sustainable supply chains, success stories and challenges:
Laura Nauta, Supply and Operations Manager at EY, is committed to advancing sustainable practices to drive organizational change, focusing on environmental impact and stakeholder engagement. She has worked with multiple companies on their transformative journey towards a more sustainable supply chain and will be able to share an overview on the status quo of the industry, the challenges and opportunities;
Brad Vanstone, grandson of a dairy farmer turned plant-based cheese and butter producer and founder of Willicroft. In its role, he will provide the perspective of an impact-driven scale-up, driving us through Willicroft's journey towards a supply chain with net positive impact. As technology-driven transparency has represented one of the key pillars of this journey;
Floris Schiks, Commercial Director at Ecochain, the Dutch software company that has helped Willicroft and many other companies in +30 countries to quantify their footprint, starting with Life Cycle assessment, the key measurement of product impact. Floris will be able to share best practices from other successful projects and forecast on the developments of the upcoming years;.
Julian Markus, Sustainability Lead at Jumbo, will eventually bring to the discussion the point of view of one of the largest Dutch retailers, disclosing insights on how they involve their suppliers in reducing CO2, proving the points that collaboration with suppliers but also with other retailers is pivotal in creating sustainable supply chains.
As usual, after our speakers’ talks, we will dedicate a proper time for Q&A where you will have the chance to ask all the questions that come to mind and a time for networking, with interesting bites & drinks!
