Food Revolutions - Exploring the Intersection of AI and Foodtech

Dear FoodHack community,

Our event on the intersection between AI and Foodtech is happening next week on Wednesday in Amsterdam 🎉 ! Our meetup is going to be busy, if you can’t make it, drop us a note to release your seat for someone else!

Event details:

📅 Date: Wednesday 17th of January

🕐 Time: Doors open at 17:30, come early to make sure you get a seat! The presentation will start at 18:00 sharp.

📍Venue: Open Kitchen Labs - Matrix Innovation Center, Amsterdam Science Park 301, 1098 XH Amsterdam

Note: You need to get in via the back entrance, it is right next to the bike shed. See map below.

How to get there?

By car: You can park at this location, a 5min walk from the event space

By transport: Bus 40 (stop: Amsterdam Science Park), NS trains (stop: Amsterdam Science Park) or check on google maps for best itinerary

The event is free but registration is necessary.

The evening is divided into 4 different moments:

  • A captivating discussion between our speakers:

    Marco Snikkers:

    Marco Snikkers, CEO, Entrepreneur & 25+ years of international business development of implementing optical sensing, imaging, and spectroscopy in various industries, including agriculture and food. Marco started OneThird in 2018 to solve two of the largest challenges we face in the food industry today: food waste and food scarcity.

    Alessandro Guglielmi:

    Alessandro is a strategist and digital enthusiast with a strong passion for food and agrifood. He is currently senior strategy manager at Albert Heijn focusing on digital, tech, and sustainability. Previously he worked on several digital products and innovations within AH after starting his career at McKinsey.

    Giuseppe Lacerenza:

    Giuseppe is an AI tech investor, operator and advisor. He is passionate about empowering ambitious founders, investing in their vision and connecting them to the right capital partner, talent and customers. His last role involved leading the Venture Studio Arm of Slimmer AI, investing and building in B2B SaaS AI category companies. Prior to that, Giuseppe founded and invested in multiple tech companies and started his career at McKinsey.

  • A Q&A where you will have the chance to ask all the questions that come to mind when thinking about AI and food.

  • A pitch round will give you the opportunity to pitch your project or start-up in 30 seconds. If you wish to pitch please answer to this email with your full name and company so we can add you to the list.

  • Time to network with bites from our delicious sponsors and chat further about what came to mind during the first part of the event. This is the opportunity to meet great people who are shaping the future of food!
